The Lion King Storybook That night, as the others slept, Simba sat on a rock and gazed up at the twinkling sky. Then he heard a strange sound. Somewhere in the jungle, someone was chanting in a singsong voice. As if from nowhere, the bent figure of an old baboon appeared. Simba did not recognize Rafiki, so the baboon played riddles with him, and told him that he knew Simba's father. Rafiki led Simba to find Mufasa in the stars. Mufasa told Simba that he was more than what he had become, and that Simba must take his place in the circle of life. As Mufasa's image faded away, he whispered to Simba. "Remember who you are...my son, and the one true king!"
