  Unaware of what Scar had done, Simba saw his father fall. When the wildebeests had gone, the cub raced down into the dust-filled gorge. There Simba found his father. He nuzzled the motionless body, but Mufasa was dead. Scar appeared out the dust, creeping slowly toward Simba. "Simba! What have you done?" Scar demanded, implying that Simba had been responsible for his father's death. Scar told the cub to run away and never return! Confused and heartbroken, Simba began to run. He did not see the hyenas join Scar, or hear his uncle give the order to kill him.
