The Lion King III is planned for release sometime around Christmas in 2001. No specific plot elements have yet been made public, although there have been many rumors in the TLK-L and in forums across the Internet. Here is what is known:

• It has been verified that Lebo Morake (Lebo M.), who worked with Hans Zimmer and Media Ventures in making the Soundtrack for The Lion King and wrote and performed songs for Simba's Pride, will be involved in the soundtrack for The Lion King III. It has been repeatly, although briefly, mentioned in articles by The Sunday Times. In these articles, Lebo M (avidly) mentions his work on the sequel. Regretfully, the Sunday Times website seems to have gone down the tubes recently.
