  Moments later, Nala and the lionesses arrived, along with Timon and Pumbaa. With fury they all attacked the hyenas. As the groups fought, lightning struck the dry grass of the flatlands. The winds, now fierce, swept the huge flames toward Pride Rock. Scar managed to sneak away from Simba, but Simba saw Scar crawling up Pride Rock. Simba dashed up the steep face, dodging fire and smoke. This time he trapped Scar at the edge of Pride Rock. Scar pleaded with Simba, telling him that it was the hyenas who had killed his father. Simba told Scar to run away and never return. Scar started to slink away, then turned and lunged at Simba. Acting swiftly, Simba hurled Scar over the edge of the cliff. The sound of hungry hyenas drifted up from the gorge, revealing Scar's awful fate.
