  As Sarabi cried out to her son, Scar also realized it was Simba. He glared at the hyenas, who had failed him, and left Mufasa's son alive. Simba proclaimed that the Pride Lands were his kingdom, and called on Scar to step down. Scar laughed at Simba as the hyenas swarmed around his nephew.
